*Synopsis:* DESIRE drives and yet it is a snare to ambition namely of Alexander the Great (323 BC) and even so when my narrative added to Caesar's immortal words - "Veni Vidi Vici" that is "I Came I Saw I Conquered" (47 BC), that I came away disillusioned.
lyrics
DESIRE
‘I came, I saw, I conquered’
Till there was nothing more, nothing more..
I came away deaf, dumb and blind
Was my illusions all but delusion?
Disillusioned I’m far behind
I came away deaf, dumb and blind
O Desire played with fire
I can’t believe my eyes, I can’t believe my ears
She left me high and dry, far in my years
‘I came, I saw, I conquered.’
Till there was nothing more, nothing more..
I came away deaf, dumb and blind
Damn my delusion with your collusion
Riddled with lies crucified Christ! Didn’t we?
Damn my delusion with your collusion
Riddled with lies condemned him twice!
O Desire played with fire
I can’t believe my eyes, I can’t believe my ears
She left me high and dry, far in my years
‘I came, I saw, I conquered.’
Till there was nothing more, nothing more..
I came away deaf, dumb and blind
